Don’t panic.
Wedding days contain moving parts, even beautifully simple ones. Hair and makeup can take a little longer than expected. Adelaide traffic can have other ideas. Someone forgets something. A button needs fixing. A shoe disappears at precisely the wrong moment.

What should I do if I’m running late to my Faithwood wedding?
Let your celebrant or the Faithwood team know as soon as you realise you’re going to be late.
You don’t need to wait until your ceremony was supposed to begin. If you’re still getting ready and can already see that your timeline is slipping, tell us.
The earlier we know, the better we can work with the time available.
Will my ceremony still go ahead if I’m late?
We’ll do everything we reasonably can within your remaining Faithwood session.
The priority is always the reason everyone is there in the first place: your marriage.
Your celebrant will make sure the legal requirements of your ceremony are completed, and we’ll work calmly with the time available rather than adding more stress to your day.
Does my Faithwood session finish later if I arrive late?
Your booked session still needs to finish at its scheduled time.
Faithwood hosts two weddings in a day, with time between them to reset and prepare the chapel.
That means the next couple can arrive to the same calm, beautifully prepared space that was waiting for you.
It’s one of the ways we protect the experience of every Faithwood couple.

How can I avoid being late to my wedding?
Give yourself more time than the timeline says you need.
Aim to have hair and makeup finished early. Have everything you’re taking with you together beforehand. Allow more travel time than Google Maps suggests you need.
Most importantly, don’t plan your morning so precisely that one ten-minute delay causes everything else to unravel.
A little empty space in your timeline is a very good thing.
If everything runs perfectly, you don’t lose anything by being ready early.
You simply gain time to sit down, have a drink, look at yourself in the mirror and realise:
I’m getting married today.
How early should I be ready for my wedding?
