Why is Mary’s three hours?

Our other Faithwood packages include in-house suppliers and services, so their set-up and pack-down is already taken care of behind the scenes and doesn’t require additional time within your wedding session.

With Mary’s, your external suppliers need access to the chapel during your booked hire time.

This might include your florist installing arrangements, your photographer setting up cameras or lighting, or your celebrant preparing their audio equipment.

The additional hour gives everyone a little more breathing room and, importantly, allows all that behind-the-scenes preparation to happen before your guests arrive, so none of the magic is spoiled.

What could your three hours look like?

Let’s say you book Faithwood from 2–5pm.

2pm Your florist arrives and begins setting up.

2–2:30pm Your celebrant and photographer arrive and prepare their equipment.

2:45pm Your guests begin arriving.

3pm You walk down the aisle and get married.

The remainder of your hire gives you time for your ceremony, congratulations, group photographs and portraits around Faithwood before your suppliers pack down.

We generally recommend splitting your additional hour into approximately 45 minutes for bump-in and 15 minutes for bump-out, as packing down is usually much quicker than setting up.

Bringing your own flowers?

If you choose Faithwood’s All Dressed in White florals, you don’t need to allow additional time for us to set them up or pack them down. We take care of that behind the scenes.

If you’re bringing an external florist or décor supplier, their installation and removal needs to happen within your Faithwood hire period.

The same applies to any external supplier who needs access to the chapel before your guests arrive.

Ask your suppliers before you book

Before confirming your Faithwood reservation, we recommend asking your external suppliers:

“How much time would you like for bump-in and set-up before our guests arrive?”

This is particularly important for florists or anyone creating an installation.

Please let us know what your suppliers need before confirming your reservation, as we may not be able to change your hire time once your booking is secured.

Need a little more time?

Meet Time After Time.

Additional chapel hire can be added if your plans need longer than the three hours included with Mary’s.

We recommend adding Time After Time when you make your booking so we can ensure the additional time can be accommodated around our other weddings that day.
